...Post a file or picture

  1. Navigate to your subject and grade level page.
  2. Click on the "edit" button. The Editor Toolbar will appear.
  3. Place your cursor at the spot on the page where you want your file to appear. You may have to add a "return" to make room.
  4. Click the icon on the Editor Toolbar that looks like a picture.
  5. Click on the "Upload Files" tab.
  6. Click on the "Browse" button to navigate to your file.
  7. Click on "Upload." Your file will be added to the wiki's collection of files.
  8. Double-click the file to insert it into the page.
  9. Please type a description of the file, and include your name and the date.

...Start a discussion

  1. Navigate to your subject and grade level page.
  2. Click on the "Discussion" tab near the top of the page.
  3. If you wish to start a new discussion, scroll down to where it says "Post Message."
  4. Type a clear and detailed subject heading and your message.
  5. If you want to be notified when others respond to your message, click the box labeled "Monitor this topic."
  6. Click the button labeled "Post."

...Join a discussion

  1. Find a discussion thread that you are interested in.
  2. Click on the subject heading. This will take you to the threaded discussion.
  3. Read the responses so far, then scroll to the bottom to where it says "Reply."
  4. Type your message.
  5. If you want to be notified when others respond to your message, click the box labeled "Monitor this topic."
  6. Click the button labeled "Post."

...Set Up VPN on your computer

  1. Open Entourage.
  2. Look in your sidebar for "Public Folders." Click on the disclosure triangle to reveal the Public Folders.Picture_1.png
  3. At the bottom of the list is a folder called VPN. Click on that triangle to reveal the folders fr PC and Mac.
  4. Choose the message specific to your version of Mac operating software. Picture_2.png
  5. The message has two attached files: one is the Word document with installation and configuration directions, and the other is the software that you will install on your computer. Install VPN by following the directions in the Word document.
  6. IMPORTANT: VPN does not work if you are working on your computer at school (inside the district firewall); it only works on computers NOT on the district network. You can install on your laptop while at school, but won't be able to test it until you leave school with your computer. If you have a desktop computer and need VPN at home, you will need to take these two items home to your computer by placing them on a flash drive or other portable device.
